are taking a simplistic and purely reflexive view of this subject, completely ignoring the subtleties and complexities. Just like with most subjects here.
I, for one, am glad to see some students getting involved in something important, instead of just drinking and partying; I say that as someone who lives in a university town. And I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they are sincere, until documented otherwise.
Some believe that they are going about it the right way, some believe they aren't. We will find out down the road which view seems the most correct. It isn't like such things haven't happened previously in US history.
The two bad actors in all of this are the Hamas militants and the reprehensible Israeli government. And as usual, it's the folks caught in the middle who are suffering, both Israeli and Palestinian.
