In 1983, President Reagan proposed the Strategic Defense Initiative. It was rejected.Just think of how much better and more sophisticated our nuclear defense would be now, forty years later, if it had been approved. We'd be saying "F North Korea, F Russia, F China". But, noooooo.
Instead, the U.S. government is pissing away billions of taxpayer money on stupid "manned Mars mission" development. :(
