I'm still hopeful that the loss of GPS is just a glitch that will eventually come good. The watch is running, sitting on the window sill.

So I'm still hopeful, but I did remove and replace a rather odd looking piece of black plastic in the watch case when I was looking for the battery to do a very hard reset! I have a feeling that the odd bit of black plastic is the GPS antenna, which I may have upset by moving it off and then back onto the GPS chipset..........
