  Actually, I'm just a movie nut that happens to have rented both Midnight Cowbow (one of my favorites - I actually wrote a paper in college called "Failure of the Western Myth in Midnight Cowboy") and Brain Candy.

  Allmovie.com is a great movie resource. (and don't forget allmusic.com for music!) You can look up whether a movie has been released on DVD. If you go to the main screen and scroll down, you can click on the New Releases button to see all of the new DVD releases scheduled for the next few months.

    Great link too.
    I first saw Midnight Cowboy after I was fired from a lousy job. I felt depressed, was smoking at the time, and would watch it over and over. It really spoke to me at the time. I still love it, and it's one of my favorite movies of all time.
