was it me or was superman 4 just as good as number 1 and maybe even better than three. alright it was no masters of the universe but it was alright

A very good thing. IMHO, that movie is one of the biggest pieces of dreck ever committed to film. The cartoon show was better!"Superman 4" is the weakest entry in the series, by far. That's saying a lot considering that "Superman 3" was only half a good movie. The first two are far better.
One man's opinions.
When original film came out movie reviewer for a local paper commented in effect it was fair (he gave it a C- grade I think). But his main grumbles seemed to be: "Why wasn't Battlecat in it?", and the Billy Barty character wasn't a good Orko.
