Special effects should serve the story and the characterisation. It's the "idea" behind the effect that's interesting to me, withoutone, it's just so much visual wanking...a sad sign of the times that style and image is all.

Geez - people see and collect movies for the effects. ARGH.

No ideas + no development = no movie, no matter how good the CGI.
