In Reply to: What movie remake has improved on the original? (Thanks to mkuller) posted by clarkjohnsen on April 14, 2004 at 14:45:32:
I'm having a hard time with this one. The only two that come to mind right away are horror films. Cronenberg's remake of The Fly is not one of his better films, but it overtakes the pedestian original by a comfortable margin. A closer call is The Ring. Some swear by the original Japanese film, but I found it weak and easily outdone by the remake.

Are probably not the one to ask about which is better.
