  Just off the top of me head, I like the work of:

  Sammantha Mathis
  Sheryl Lee
  Sherlyn Finn
  Maura Tierney...

  all are in their mid-30's, and imo have something to offer as actors. All are easy on the eyes, but not necessarily drop dead beautiful. One thing they have in common is a start in television...but they all have done fine work on the big screen as well.

  I know they may not all fit your posted requirements, but I certainly find their work worth watching.
