Obvious gain riding on effects, muddy dialog, music shifting about. Started out ok, then about 2 thirds in explosions got all wimpy, music drowned out dialog. Thought it might be my system so I put in LOTR- Two Towers and got all the definition and presence I expected. The boom of thunder sounded different from the Ents "song" or from the explosion at Helms Deep. Good panning left to right with rear channels staying put.Anyone else experience bad or wierd sound on ID4?

... I thought it was an unlikeable movie in general (i.e., corny; manipulative; sophomoric; cameo-heavy, etc.). BTW, I'm a serious SF film fan, so it isn't because I don't like science fiction.Stick with LoTR (i.e., a genuine classic; an epic adventure), it's a keeper and much more fun. Sell your old Collector's Edition of ID4 to Victor; tell him it's his patriotic duty to buy it! ;^)
