Tim,Saw it in the recently redone Regent Theater in Toronto (old stomping grounds) with its new DLP projector and SOTA sound system.
I bought the DVD already and it is most certainly worth getting.
Kurosawa would have liked it.

A while back you posted an exuberant “Wow” regarding this movie. I made a pre-release purchase and waited for the DVD, which arrived yesterday. I agree, certainly worth getting. The theater experience must have been great, as the eyes and ears are rewarded with this film and sound track.I didn't notice at the time of my on-line purchase, but it came as a double feature set - paired with “Sonatine”. Is this typical? Worked out well for me.
