Although I disagree with the writer's conclusions about the last six years. NYPD Blue has continuously provided dramatic, human-condition stories every bit as gritty as cable yet without cable's required four-letter words.
It's been a great twelve years, and we bid farewell on Tuesday.

This show has had its ups and downs, but I have to agree that the character of Andy Sipowicz is one of the most intriguing ever on TV--and Dennis Franz deserves a lot of credit for this.
