Don't miss it if you haven't seen it. It will haunt you for a long time. Interestingly, it works equally well as a macabre love story---maybe that counterpoint gives edge to the horror?
(I mean the European, original release, not the same-director disaster starring a curiously-accented Jeff Bridges...).

I love the original version, no happy ending like in the remake. Even the abductor appearance was kinda creepy.
