DC has learned from the Spiderman franchise and got the studio to have the characters and story played straight. My wife and I just saw it this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have liked the hand-to-hand fight scenes to be shot a little farther back and less chopped up visually. I'm a fan of realistic fight scenes, and this film was just ripe for them. Maybe the next "Batman" film will delve a little deeper into the choreography of physical violence, like happened with the second "Bourne" movie.
I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel. This film is going to invoke a lot of comparisons to the TV series and the previous attempts at movies, then everyone will forget about everything that went before. We finally have a good benchmark for the Caped Crusader on film.
Cheers,Graham
