Now, have you checked out any of the fabulous American actress, Louise Brooks, films? I'd recommend the primal flapper's "Pandora's Box."
Perhaps the most electric, brilliant-star turn by a female in film history. Incendiary. She came from KC, like TS Eliot. What a strange bit of trivia, eh? Neither ever looked back again, unlike a certain Southern author.

Note : Kino's release of Pabst's Diary of a Lost Girl pictured above.Another great actress of the silent era, Maria Falconetti, who only made one film (The Passion of Joan of Arc, directed by Carl Thodor Dreyer); this is also worth purchase or rental (Criterion release, Region 1, NTSC). BTW, the number of silent films I own DVD is now approaching 70, and the TCM release of the Garbo silents next month will extend my collection to the point that I'll have to add more shelving! (8^o)
