...I went in knowing nothing about the plot and enjoyed the creative sci fi surprises as well as the unreal chase/fall scenes. For summer movie fun, I'd rate it above the $130 million "War of the Worlds" remake. As a fan of the 1956 George Pal original, it was interesting to see about 3 of the exact same scenes in the new one.

To bad they give all the surprises of "The Island" away in the trailers and ads, not to mention the reviews.
