...I still recall being blown away seeing him in his first season on SNL in the '70's - maybe his 3rd or 4th show - he did a solo with the camera close up with his dead pan delivery about being the new guy on the show who isn't very funny and he's really trying, just give him some more time and he'll get better, etc. He said exactly what we were all thinking. Amazing TV.
