I bought a ticket to see Jennifer Aniston. I got lots more than I bargained for. It starts as a story of 2 frustrated spouses falling in lust and having a nite in a hotel room. Then it becomes a rape-and-blackmail story, and then...well, let's just say something different. Jennifer Aniston was quite good and GORGEOUS. I've seen her in 'The Good Girl' but little else. Clive Owen is also quite good, as he must have been in 'Closer', as I was repulsed by his character in that. Vincent Cassel, playing the chief villain, is excellent. Giancarlo Esposito is very good in a supporting role as a police detective who seems not to believe Clive.
Follow Ups:
I saw this when it came out and was very well pleased. I'm starting to "get" the subtley of Clive Owens performances. The plot was good but Ebert, of all people, pointed out on his show that Clive looked like he could snap Cassell in half. True. I couldn't help but notice some signs of aging in Anniston--enough to understand Brad.
