and a great portayal of how powerful the land in that part of the country can be.
That said I tried to watch it again at home and couldn't get into it in the same way. I think it's a movie for which someone (or at least me) has to be in the right frame of mind in order to fully appreciate.

Actually more bored than depressed, just got too draggy for me. Film got high rating at www.imdb.com. Did like the New Mexico setting and rustic home,
however, as well as Cecilia Rose's performance. Her mom kinda reminded me of BJ's girlfriend in 'Billy Jack'. ~AH
