Has anyone but me seen this rather marvelous Indian film?
Its about an English woman who goes to India to make a film about her grandfather's diary concerning his years during the Raj when he was involved in putting down armed resistance to the British.
As the volunteer actors learn more about their own history they change from hedonistic students to finally become violent mmmm I hesitate to say terrorists.
THere is an energy about this film which is very impressive.
Follow Ups:
I loved the movie. Most Indians have seen it by now and it's heading to be a big hit. The subject has obviously hit a sore nerve: too much corruption and no accountability. The story is told through the eyes of Sue, a Brit film maker who wakes up the conscience of a bunch of friends, her 'starcast'. She wakes it up a bit too much for they take up the gun in a fit of helpless anger. You're right, there is a wonderful energy in the film and the music keeps step for the most part. 2 thumbs up!
