I'm wondering how many times I'd opt to download and view a movie at home if there were an option to do so at the time of the film's theatrical release... I suspect quite a few. The author of the article (link below) seems to have some trepidation.

With most movies now available for free on the Internet, sometimes even before they are released in theaters- and in formats that can be turned into DVDs to be played on regular TV- it seems like the industry strategy is designed for failure. For premium prices, people will want a premium product and they are being offered a product that they cannot even watch other than on their computer.
