Georgia and Kazakhstan used to be the republics in the USSR, just like Russia, not the Russian republics.

As far as their cultures are concerned, they both had rich ones, completely unrelated to the Russian culture.

Kazahkstan is not really known for its advanced culture, although its old tradition is still there. Georgia, on the other hand, has one of the most colorful, lively, beautiful, rich cultures in the world.
