genius of the storytelling to become more obvious. Also, Jack's chemistry with Maria (fresh from co-starring with Brando in Last Tango) was hot.
The long, uncut last scene, of course, is one of the most famous in film history.

Not that Antonioni is doing anything wrong; no doubt my conditioning to the Matrix/Tarantino/computer games/158 bps sampling of the last 2 decades...
