Mickey Rourke and Turner were sensational. I'm pretty sure it was Danson's first movie role as well as Turner's. And Rourke wasn't exactly long in the tooth either. Crenna was quite effective as the sleazy business man who cautioned Ned to always know the bottom line.
One of my favorites from the 80's but as V said, it doesn't carry nearly the same impact when seen again. Considering the nature of the slowly unfolding plot, I'd say that's understandeable.
Follow Ups:
He certainly "jumped" off the screen.
Kathleen Turner was truly erotic in the movie.Another early movie where an actor made a big presence in a first or near first role: Steve Buscemi in "Parting Glances".
