I'm fond of the book, and I'm fond of Downey, I can wait a long time for a good pay-off (although of course I've read the book) and I don't mind if a movie isn't completely successful as long as it's an interesting and honest attempt.

So with your caveats in mind I'm still looking forward to seeing this.
