This is an enjoyable docuamntary on the rise and fall (and current revival) of the venerable drive in theater. Just about everything is covered, from their origin, technical challenges, cultural significance, etc. Problems and solutions involving bugs, heating, cooling,, and sound are covered in great detail. Personalities like critic Leonard Maltin and actors and executives from American International Pictures (who made films just fr the drive in market) contribute commentary and information on marketing. Of particular interest I thought was the changing audience over the decades and the various promotions used to entice people to visit. Pick this up if you see it in a libary or rental store.
