BIFF is now underway, in fact it has been for a week, but as is always the way here, things are just about to hot up.
With a reported 300 films over the festival there is of course a lot of dross quite frankly but so what? There is also a lot of good stuff and the bonus of a series of outdoor (and this in mid-winter) screenings of double bill film noire events.
I am prsently holding my breath before plunging in and reports will come thick and fast next week.
I am also hoping to meet a long lost (in fact unknown) cousin, James Clayden, an experimental filmmaker who is the subject of a career retrospective this year.
All this and the Betty Page film... that one alone should be fuel for the photo opportunity websearch... oh no... TOO LATE...
