I think that, while globalisation is usually used to describe selling Big Macs and Nike (probably knock-offs) all over the world, the opposite is true in that we can gain access to products from everywhere.
Cinema is a great example and the films made in different countries are different to each other. Like food, it may taste a bit strange the first time, but once you get used to it, it opens you up to a feast of different tastes.

I agree. With two small children and work, my trips to other lands is on hold. Films are a great way to see places that will likely never be visited.
