The basic plot is in the above review, but that hardly scratches the surface.
This is about the most disturbing film I can remember seeing. This is the grown up version of Trainspotting... without the humour.
It is about people so far up a dead end street that they can only imagine a life of bashing their heads against a wall. People with dull eyes and people whose eyes cry out to escape their lives. It is a film about ugliness. And parts of it are very ugly indeed. It will upset and disturb and make you feel uncomfortable.
It is about the grinding banal ugliness of addiction and the businesses that support that.
I cannot urge you enough to see this film.
I feel shellshocked after it.
