His version trims cuts and replaces the music track with the Goblins. Dawn of the Dead is my favorite horror film and Romero and Argento are best of friends.In fact Argento's Daughter is the main girl in Land of the Dead -- and there are some wonderful "oh now that is just disgusting scenes such as:

The bit where the zombie reaches down a guys mouth to pull out his insides. Romero's films are usually social commentaries disguised as horror films and he infuses them with humour (except Night of the Living Dead)

I have seen this but didnt know that Argento had anything to do with it. I dont think I saw the directors cut either.
