Dashing Errol Flynn stars in this assemblage of overlapping stories which takes place largely in the then gorowing Kansas town. Early on Flynn incurs the enmity of co-star Olivia de Havilland by killing her brother. Later they reconcile and become lovers. Along the way Flynn becomes sherrif amd institutes a series of regulations which infleme the local bad guys. There is a brief song battle in a saloon, not surprising in a film involving by future "Casablanca" luminaries Michael Curtiz and Max Steiner. A rousing, enjoyable but predictable, western, premiered in 1939 in Dodge City itself. Ann Sheridan also stars. Shot in Technicolor.
