...I thought it was one of the best films of the year.It was like I was watching history take place - being transported to Buckingham Palace, Balmoral Castle, etc. - it was so realistic with Mirren's excellent performance anchoring the events around Diana's death and the questionable behavior of the Royal Family.
I found the depiction of Tony Blair was fascinating and I'm not really a history buff.
Follow Ups:
Blair never saw the film, so he said lately.
I was looking at it with many hopes, and a strong bia to like it.
Maybe the fact that I never really like Diana was a sour drop in my appreciation.
As this director made so many good films, this one will not go down in my memory as worth of him.
Of course I will give it a second look sometimes, but I am afraid it won´t help much.
I wish I had your luck!
