Just saw it last night, and I must take the middle ground.

It was beautifully shot, and very well acted. It also had a very tranquil feel. This was almost a problem, as a few times I struggled to stay awake.

My wife came in and watched the second half quietly. At the end she asked me what it was about. I gave her a brief synopsis, but how is that possible really? It was more about the feeling and tone than a plot. Since she saw the end, she knew the situations of the three sisters.

I appreciated it, but wasn't blown away.
