...a couple years ago and pretty much agree with you. What most amazed me was how -- after twenty years of graphic violence on the screen, and extreme prison violence in shows such as Oz -- some of the scenes still terrified me. I'm kinda glad I didn't see it back when!

Also I thought that guy's hopeless attraction to Billy was handled sensitively. Even men in prison need love, and Billy said No very kindly. Of course the fellow was crushed! I thought it played very well without any "politics".
