OK, not the first time ,TheTrufaud one,of course and the one with Andy ( the French lover again and again..)was passable...but his tv role are bad...bad as his film as a father ind this films..Ah I forgot the one with pierre Richard were enjoyable , too.
With the best will I can not make any comparison with Beethoven, safe their huge body...
-Le Placard, the closet in english is fun,but in my point of view with far more cliche and old joke than new one-but the film is fun.
J. Nicholson is in another league, and his comedy -As good as..- was brillant ! Shining...Cuckoo´s nest, the one with Polansky...no comparison !
But beside his criminal " youth Past " I like the man,His love for wine and his most beautiful woman-Carole Bouquet-PS: did you like rendition of Asterix ? one of the most wooden acting I ever saw ( NOT completely )
Follow Ups:
One should not criticize the Closet based on the chiche's - of course there are many, it is a situation comedy. One should simply sit back and enjoy, like one enjoys some classical commedies. And there is much to be enjoyed.Pierre Richard is wonderful, things like The Goat and Tall Man should be commedy classics. He is old now, unfortunately.
I didn't see Asterix, and will take your word for it.
