Oh Lord let there not be too much CG!In Lord of the Rings the computer graphics were blessedly unobtrusive, except for the backgrounds, especially in elf territory. (All those waterfalls!) Granted the hordes of Saruman-created, heavily-armored savages were unable to quell us resilient, ever-resourceful flesh-and-blood humans, their creation and depiction cannot be blamed on CG because historically in such movies such enemies are always attacking us and somehow never, ever seem to win!

Follow Ups:
Saw it at the IMAX theater (2.35:1 for Carl Eber's sake) and although it wasn't as annoying to watch on the IMAX screen as "A.I.", it would probably look better on a conventional screen where the extra audience viewing distance masks the resolution limits of 35 mm film. And damn, this is one beautiful movie. New Zealand, here I come!
