In Reply to: Is Blue Velvet a good movie for a First Date? posted by Bolt_Snypr on January 09, 2002 at 13:28:25:
I thought Blue Velvet was a good film, although I wouldn't care to watch it again-to this day, hearing Roy Orbison sing In Dreams brings that scene to mind. I made it halfway through Crash before turning off the DVD player-what a ridiculous film. Salo-faggedaboudit. You'd have to do the Clockwork Orange thing on me to get me to watch that.

Then I recommend the whole series of Pasolini's light-hearted "classical" commedies. Decameron, Arabian Nights, etc. Love them. Tons of fun and enough sexual innuendo to get that first date off the start line.
