If you want to see Bill Shatner not overacting in a pretty good movie, you should dig up "The Intruder" from 1961. I believe it's available on dvd.

Thanks JAD, I'll look for it. My concept of Shatner, outside of a Twilight Zone episode and The Outrage, is hopelessly character cast into Captain Kirk. It was fascinating to see him play the preacher in The Outrage.
