I agree completely. "Blue Angel" is a great film and the dvd was a masterful presentation of it. Seeing Marlene Dietrich's first ever screen test done in 1928(for this movie) was also a treat.By the way, I ordered G.W. Pabst's 1929 film "Diary of a Lost Girl" starring Louise Brooks at the same time. Another exceptional film and dvd presentation.
Don't the Dietrich pretenders...like Madonna...seem a little weak beside her steamy charisma, John A ?The screen tests are precious...Image is putting out a two volume DVD set on March 5, that are "famous screen tests"...here's the link...overall, it's a mish-mash, but once one get's past that, they look interesting...."Hollywood Screen Tests...Take 1 and Take 2"..each volume 90 minutes in length....

Also Image is putting out two volumes of something called "Hidden Hollywood #1: Treasure From The 20th Century Fox Vaults "...

and "Hidden Hollywood #2: More Treasure From The 20th Century Fox Vaults "

Again at 90 minutes each, at least you get your money's worth...or so it seems !
