In Tenebrae (late '70's) there are some spectacularly long panning shots where at first you think the camera is on a big cherry picker outside a house, looking in through a window, but then it goes along the wall to another window, then though a crack in the wall, into a bedroom, down the stairs, into a bathroom etc all in one go.
