Just saw "Chopper" recently. I thought Eric Bana was terrific, simultaneously frightening and humorous, seemingly F-- all but insecure. His subtlety and range reminded me of Russell Crowe.IMDB shows that he's playing Bruce Banner in the upcomming Incredible Hulk movie. I think that will be a great match for his talents. Does anyone know more about this actor?

He is an Aussie who started as a standup comedian. He was very funny BTW. He also did some TV comedy shows etc.Then out of the blue, he got the role of Chopper Read in "Chopper". That role takes "frightening and humorous" to another level. Then he was in Blackhawk Down.
He was really able to bulk up for Chopper - he was always pretty skinny before. He must have the right metabolism for bodybuilding. He should look good for The Hulk. I hope it is a half reasonable script.He is married with a couple of small kids. He took the whole family to Morrocco for shooting Blackhawk.
AFAIK he lives in Sydney and only goes to Hollywood for meetings and work.Cheers
