In Reply to: Pioneer PRO-620HD what do yo think? posted by DL on February 26, 2002 at 08:59:31:
I own the pioneer pro-710HD. It is quite similar except it is the previous year model, and it is a larger screen. I have been very happy with the TV, and have owned it for a few months. Here are my opinions about it.The picture quality was the best of any rear-projection set I saw, it beat every other similar priced projector in my opinion
The setup of the TV is very easy, the owners manual was quite easy for me to understand
The included remote is excellent. It is backlit, programmable, and easy enough to use.
It has the nicest cabinent finishing of about all the big screens. While most companies use a flat black plastic, it uses MDF board covered with a black glossy lacquar.
Also be sure to search around, the retail on mine was $7000, but with some looking I bought one online for $4900 plus about $400 shipping. I was able to save about $2000 doing this.
