Actually, I would like to know which is better for sound production for both HT and MC. I got the space and a set of floor-stander at close-out sales so cost isn't a factor either. So let's ignore cost and WAF factors. So which is better, floorstander or mini-monitor? Would really apprecaite some answer. Thanks

Well I guess if the midrange & top are similar quality on both I'd go for the floorstander and have done that here. However many mini monitors have superior sound to floor standers so it is a bit dangerous to generalise. Also the room acoustics is a factor to consider if you have bass pouring out from both ends of the room. It could prove to be superb but, given the wrong combination of room dimensions it could end up very wierd.
Much as I'd like to give more specific advise it is really impossible. In your situation I would try to borrow a pair of floorstanders from a dealer or friend and try them out and then make the decision. Even then, a deal of experimenting with positioning would be important before making that final decision.
