According to their Web site, Denon is releasing a couple new model DVD players in early April, model numbers 3800 and 9000. Does anyone know where I can buy Denon online (when these models come out) for a good discount, with warranty?Anyone have any experience with the Denon players as transports for an external DAC? Hard to tell from Denon's web site if their new DVD players will have 24/96 digital output for DVDs. (I am currently using a Sony DV7700, which downconverts DVD to 24/48 for the digital out.)
Follow Ups:
Towards the bottom of the description of the Denon 3800 on the Denon website it lists: 24/96 digital output, optical and coaxial.
Would find it hard to beleve that the 9000 would not also have the 24/96 output.
I don't know how deep their discount is, but Crutchfield has started carrying Denon, and, though it's been awhile, I always had good luck with their customer service, and everything is under warranty.
