You did say "anything would be appreciated.", didn't you? Seriously, your TV must be pretty old not to have an S-Video input. The picture quality is a step up from using the all-in-one composite connection. An even better alternative would be component inputs on the TV, but I'm guessing that your DVD player may not have component outputs since you didn't mention them. Even if you are not able to upgrade your TV at this time, the DVD picture -- even using the composite connection -- will be better than VHS and most laserdiscs.
