In Reply to: what are the gsp560 amps rated at? posted by Sam P. on March 20, 2002 at 15:39:53:
Sam,I don't remember rating of amps but I'll did out the manual and post a follow up message. By the way; Great idea! I'm not wild about the prologic so why not utilize just the amps! Good thinking. Are you using a preamp w/processing?

Follow Ups:
that is a minimalist HT unit. Takes the audio from the dish, and does the prologic processing and amplification to drive the five speakers and subwoofer directly. Came with 5 inch high "monitors" which have recently been upgraded to dual 15's and horns for the left/right fronts, single 15's and horns for the rear surrounds and center channel. Still thinking about my subwoofer options, but I have plenty of low end when the 7 15's are rumbling now...all speakers are 100dB/watt sensitivity...stunning dynamics. Samthe chopped down gsp560 only retains the power supply portion of the main circuit board. I used a dremel cutoff wheeel to cut away all the prologic section which was smashed when I got the unit. threw away the front circuit panel, etc. rewired the rear jacks to have three input channels, and retained the original binding posts and speaker outputs. I'm guessing maybe the dual channels(rears) will safely produce at least 30 watts, and the single amp(center) will do the same as a GFA535, 60 watts. Just about perfect for driving some full range single driver TQWT's, and a mono subwoofer with them. build quality of the gsp560 is way lower than my older adcom amps...Sam
