Will my Technics dvd-a10n play dvd-r's?

Hope this is the right place to ask this but does the technics dvd-a10n play dvd-r disks? I know the dvd-a10D does but the dvd-a10pp-n does not. I don't know what the differences are in the players but I couldn't find any info on my player on the web.
Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

No,but it will play CR-RW. Odd isn't it?
