Gee, it sounds an awful lot like you have a problem with your blue channel (as in that it's not there)!!

Since you tried switching the cable around, it sounds as though there's a bad connection INSIDE your DVD player or projector. Try swapping the red & blue jacks, at one end of your cable. If you still don't get any blue, then it's a problem with your projector. If you do get blue, then it's your player.

Let's hope that the warranty period isn't expired, on whichever it is!
