A little research shows that it uses the same remote as the EAD Theatermasters. Perhaps they OEMed the Signature, like SimAudio did? If so, it definitely should compare favorably to Lexicon and Proceed because the EAD Signature sure does.

AudioNET doesn't usually OEM stuff from others, so I'd be surprised if this was the case.I saw the photo of the innards of Theatermaster 8000 Pro and it doesn't look like AudioNet MAP. I don't think they even use the same DSP for decoding.
The remote does look the same and I think both of them have derived it from an OEM.

Yes, you are probably right - the back panel is very different as well (I didn't spend much time on this "investigation"). From what I gather, though, it does sound (ha, ha) like a great unit.
