I am using the Denon AV11SE (4802) as a preamp in my HT system. But since this model is 220V, I am powering through a heavy duty stepdown transformer.Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of noise (a low booming sound)coming from my speakers, even when no signal is fed. Is this because of the transformer?
I know its not the multichannel power amp, cos when I use it with my passive Sony TAP9000ES, there is little or no noise.
Anyone care to offer some advice to solve this problem? E.g. recommend a better transformer?
