So long as the Denon can reconfigure its channels I know of no reason this wouldn't work -- of course you'll get a gross mismatch between the sides and rears, but I doubt you're too worried about that ;-)

Does the Krell preamp have a theater input? If not, you'll need to use a preset position/value on the receiver input to the analog preamp.
